A Corner Cafe North York is widely recognized for its inviting atmosphere that combines dining with leisure, notably featuring board games that enhance the social experience. The restaurant offers a diverse and extensive menu, catering to a variety of tastes with a focus on all-day brunch options alongside snacks and specialty drinks. Food portions are generally praised for being generous and flavorful, particularly dishes like chicken and waffles and select pasta options. The quality and variety of beverages also receive positive mentions. While the ambiance is clean, cozy, and welcoming, some feedback indicates that service can be uneven, occasionally slow due to limited staff during busy times. Overall, guests appreciate the value for money and the unique blend of casual dining and entertainment, making it a favorable spot for gatherings, casual meals, and game enthusiasts alike.

Went for brunch and was able to be seated right away. Service was a bit slow but there was only 1 or 2 front service people. The interior was cute, they have a number of board games you can choose from. The food was very good, two of us got chicken and waffles and the other got chicken benedict. The portions were huge, chicken was flavourful and juicy.

A very welcome addition to the neighborhood, we've been eyeing this place for a few months now as it's always busy with people playing board games, enjoying a meal, or even studying on their laptops. We finally decided to see what it was all about. Their menu is a bit overwhelming, I think they are trying to be an all day brunch place but also include small snacks and drinks for the board game cafe side of things. We ended up asking how much the minimum spend was for board games and it is $10 a person before taxes and tips. Their menu seems to be strategically priced so you basically have to get a food item and drink item to meet the spend, as most drinks hover around $7-8 and most food is not quite the right price to make it $20 total! For our first visit, we ended up spending quite a bit more than expected and getting chicken and waffles, nachos (which ended up being fries), and a pitcher of juice. The waffle and fries are recommended, but the nachos are a pass for me. They have a large variety of games and we ended up playing one for the entire time. It was a bit hard because of how loud some of the other tables were though - I think this can be an improvement point since they were screaming at some points and no one said anything. I don't think it would have been unreasonable for staff to address it. It is a hard because as a cafe they are doing so many things - a study spot, date spot, and board game spot - that everyone is working at different volumes on different things. We will definitely be back, but it would be nice to have an option to pay just to do the board games. I don't need food or a beverage every time.

A solid brunch spot I’ve been to a few times. Most of their brunch dishes are pretty good — nothing mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying. I wouldn’t recommend the “healthy bowl” options — especially the duck rice bowl. It was the weakest dish I’ve had here. On the flip side, their pasta dishes are great, especially the squid ink one (though beware if you're on a date — it’ll definitely leave your teeth stained!). They offer both chicken & waffle and duck & waffle, which is a nice twist. I personally think the classic chicken version tastes better, but if you’re a fan of duck, the duck version is worth a try too. Overall, it’s a reliable brunch place with a few standouts. I’d give it a solid 4 stars.

The menu was very extensive and well put together, so no matter your taste, you could easily find something in the end. The variety of drinks was excellent, and they were served with good quality. The portion sizes for both food and drinks were quite large, and considering the price, it was great value. The place was also clean and pleasant. The only downside was the young guy who took our order—his service wasn’t very good. But overall, it was a good experience. If you overlook that part, it’s definitely a nice café worth trying.

Great place to bring your laptop and do some work. They have free wifi and plenty of tables with outlets to plug in/charge. The atmosphere is nice, and it's a good place for groups to hang out to play board games too. I didn't try the food, but they have a large selection of all sorts of drinks—coffee, tea, smoothies, milk teas, and fruit juices.

Been here a few times for dinner and games and the food is pretty good. It's a cute cafe though the game options was somewhat limited compared to a few other board game cafes. Finally came for brunch and was pleasantly surprised with how many options they had! Their eggs benny were pretty good and pairing it with a Vietnamese latte made it a very nice brunch experience.

Literally nothing to complain about and everything to be happy about. The service instantly on coming in was warm and friendly, and we were able to seat 8 people to play some card games instantly. Food selection is good for a cafe and the drinks menu is even better. If you need a cafe to host your board games this is a great choice.
